What is a drum and rattle journey?
This shamanic drum and rattle journey is a healing process taught to me during a five-year apprenticeship with an indigenous spiritual teacher. The process allows us to access altered states of consciousness and communicate with spirits, guides, and other non-physical entities. Additionally, the rattle brings healing and begins the manifestation and integration of the process. The drum induces a theta brain wave state, which is associated with deep relaxation, intuition, and access to the subconscious mind. During this journey you may experience visions, insights, or encounters with spirit guides or power animals. These experiences can provide guidance, healing, and a deeper connection to the spiritual aspects of life. The rattle assists you by getting clarity about how to integrate the healing, visions, insights, or guidance received.
